I usually don’t reblog these kind of stuff, but this was done so well, I couldn’t contain myself.

This is now officially the blog of Burnaby South Secondary Interact Club’s 2012-2013 Secretary!

I really can’t believe myself. I really did it. I understood my circumstances, being a new student and having a busy schedule and all, could potentially risk my chances of being appointed a position on the executive council, but I did it. I promise that I’d give my best for the next school to make Interact club another year to remember!

I’m just laying in bed, talking to you for the past hour. I don’t know why I’m investing so much time like this, but we just kept talking. I really liked it though, even if it confuses me at times.

I get confused as hell whenever you talk to me.

We all hear rumours, gossip, and stories about people from others’ mouths. To me, I only take all of these in consideration, but never choose to actually believe it. Dear specific person, I gave you a chance and chose to become your friend despite the stuff I’ve heard about you. The fact that I’ve had multiple people come up to me to ask if “it was true” really bothered me. I told you my dilemma because I thought you would take time to consider helping a friend out rather than tell it to all these people who hold no significance in holding such information. I know someday, perhaps, that you can actually be the person I thought you’d be, but now, I’ve concluded to believe in those stories for I can testify myself about your dishonesty and selfishness to simply climb the ridiculously “retarded” social ladder we have at school.

I hope one day you’ll realize.

F. Scott Fitzgerald (via monsta)

(via eeeerectiledysfunction)

"There was one of his lonelinesses coming, one of those times when he walked the streets or sat, aimless and depressed, biting a pencil at his desk. It was a self-absorption with no comfort, a demand for expression with no outlet, a sense of time rushing by, ceaselessly and wastefully - assuaged only by that conviction that there was nothing to waste, because all efforts and attainments were equally valueless."

"As if to build a fence around the fatal emptiness inside her, she had to create a sunny person that she became. But if you peeled away the ornamental egos that she had built, there was only an abyss of nothingness and the intense thirst that came with it. Though she tried to forget it, the nothingness would visit her periodically— on a lonely rainy afternoon, or at dawn when she woke up from a nightmare. What she needed at such times was to be held by someone, anyone."

"We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations."

"We are torn between nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, we are homesick most for the places we have never known."
